Champvans is a French commune in the Jura department in the region of Bourgogne Franche-Comté . It belongs to the Arrondissement of Dole and the Canton of Dole-1 . The residents call themselves Champvannais or Champvannaises . The neighboring municipalities are Sampans in the north, Monnières in the northeast, Dole in the east, Foucherans in the southeast, Damparis in the south, Samerey ( Département Côte-d'Or ) in the southwest, Saint-Seine-en-Bâche (Département Côte-d'Or) in the west and Flagey-lès-Auxonne (Département Côte-d'Or) in the north-west. The municipality marker is crossed by the A39 autoroute .
