Salans is a French commune in the Jura department in the region of Bourgogne Franche-Comté . It belongs to the Arrondissement of Dole and the canton of Mont-sous-Vaudrey .

geography

Salans is 18 kilometers from Besançon and 27 kilometers from Dole . In the north and north-west, the Doubs river , united with the Rhine-Rhône Canal , forms the municipal boundary . The neighboring municipalities are Évans in the north-west, Saint-Vit ( Doubs department ) in the northeast, Roset-Fluans (Doubs department) in the east, Courtefontaine in the south and Fraisans in the west.
