Plumont is a French commune in the Jura department in the region of Bourgogne Franche-Comté . It belongs to the Arrondissement of Dole and the canton of Mont-sous-Vaudrey .
geography
The municipality of Plumont is located about 20 kilometers east of Dole on the northern edge of the Forêt de Chaux . The Doulonne , a tributary of the Doubs, flows through the municipality . In the north, the municipality extends to within a few hundred meters of the Doubs. The neighboring communities are
- Rans in the north,
- Fraisans in the east,
- Chissey-sur-Loue in the south,
- Étrepigney to the west.
There is a point of contact with Chatelay in the southwest.
