Menotey is a French commune in the Jura department in the region of Bourgogne Franche-Comté . It belongs to the Arrondissement of Dole and the Canton of Authume . The residents call themselves Menoteyers .

The municipality is bordered by Frasne-les-Meulières to the north, Moissey to the northeast, Gredisans to the east, Jouhe to the south, Rainans to the southwest and Chevigny to the west . In the southeast there is a point of contact with Archelange .
