Biarne is located on the 264 m high Mont Frit , around ten kilometers southeast of Auxonne . The neighboring municipalities are Rainans in the north, Jouhe in the east, Sampans in the south, Billey ( Département Côte-d'Or ) in the southwest and Auxonne (Département Côte-d'Or) in the northwest.
