Fu Jianbo ( Chinese  傅 俭 波 , Pinyin Fù Jiǎnbō ; born January 30, 1976 ) is a Chinese pool player . He was runner-up in the 10-ball world championship in 2011 and won the World Cup of Pool with Li Hewen in 2007 and 2010 .

In 2004 Fu Jianbo reached 13th place and 17th place on the San Miguel Tour . In 2005 he came in 17th place in a tournament. In 2006 Fu reached the 37th place in a tournament of the International Pool Tour , at the 9-Ball World Cup he was eliminated in the preliminary round. At the 2007 Guinness Tour , Fu finished third in the fifth event.

At the 8-Ball World Cup in 2008 , Fu made it to the round of sixteen by losing 7:10 to Dennis Orcollo from the Philippines . He also managed to win the International Challenge of Champions in 2008, the only Chinese, and the Quezon City Invasion. In the Guinness Tour he came in fifth and three times in ninth place.

At the World Pool Masters 2009 Fu lost in the round of 16 against the Finn Mika Immonen 7: 8, a little later he finished ninth at the China Open and was eliminated at the 10 Ball World Cup in the round of 64 against the Filipino Marlon Manalo out.

In May 2011 Fu succeeded in the 10-Ball World Championship after victories against Kuo Po-Cheng , Lee Van Corteza and Carlo Biado the entry into the final, in which he was defeated by the Dutchman Huidji See with 8:11. At the China Open he then finished ninth, as in 2009 and 2010. At the 9-Ball World Cup , however, he was eliminated with just one win in the preliminary round. In September 2011 he reached the semi-finals of the World Pool Masters and lost it 4-8 against the then 8-ball world champion Dennis Orcollo.

After he was eliminated in the round of 32 at the China Open 2012 and 2013, he reached the quarter-finals at the China Open 2015 , which he lost at 10:11 to eventual finalist John Morra .

So far, Fu has formed the Chinese doubles at the World Cup of Pool five times with Li Hewen . After victories against France, the Philippines and Japan, among others, they succeeded in winning the tournament in 2007 by beating Finland (Mika Immonen and Markus Juva ) 11:10 in the final . In 2008 they were eliminated in the semifinals against the later finalists from England, Daryl Peach and Mark Gray , with 5-9. In 2009 the semi-finals again followed, this time against the eventual winner, the second Filipino team ( Francisco Bustamante and Efren Reyes ), 8: 9. In 2010 they defeated Italy, Indonesia and Germany ( Ralf Souquet and Oliver Ortmann ), among others , before defeating the Filipinos Ronato Alcano and Dennis Orcollo in the final 10: 5. In 2011 they lost 4-8 against the Swiss Dimitri Jungo and Ronald Regli in the first round .

With the Chinese national team, he has taken part twice in the World Team Championship , reaching the quarter-finals in 2010 and 2012 .
