Andrius Račkauskas (born March 13, 1981 ) is a former Lithuanian handball player .

Career

The 1.84 meter tall left-hander started playing handball at Granitas Kaunas in his home country . He moved abroad for the first time to HK Kópavogur at the age of 19 . After only one season he moved to France to play Paris Handball . He also only spent one season with the capital city , before hiring at Algeciras BM until 2006 . In the 2006/07 season he ran for the OHV Aurich . In 2006, the Oldenburg tax investigators searched various locations in the vicinity of the club's management, and Račkauskas' contracts were also noticed. He was registered with both the Bundesliga team and the “Alte Post” inn . His "waiter contract" was terminated on March 12, 2007, but the game contract continued unpaid. After this eventful year, the outside player moved to Austria for HIT Innsbruck . He celebrated his greatest success with the Tyroleans in 2011/12 with the runner-up championship title. The following summer, the Lithuanian signed a contract with SG Handball West Vienna . But this never came about because Račkauskas tested positive for tetrahydrocannabinol in a doping sample that was taken during the final series and was therefore suspended for ten months. After his suspension expired, he ran for the ULZ Schwaz until the end of the season . Račkauskas played for the Tyroleans from the founding of Handball Tirol in 2013 until the end of his career in 2015.
