Andy Klinger (* 1987 in Plauen ) is a German actor .

Life

Klinger comes from the Vogtland . He played at the Plauen-Zwickau Theater even before his professional acting training . There he stepped u. a. in Die Welle (2006), as Aaron in Ghetto by Joshua Sobol (2008), as Melchior Gabor in Spring Awakening (2008) and as a sachet in the musical Peter Pan .

From 2008 to 2012 he completed his acting studies at the Ernst Busch Academy of Dramatic Arts in Berlin . His lecturers there were Alexander Lang , Veit Schubert , Peter Kleinert, Robert Gallinowski and Axel Werner. In the 2010/11 season he worked at the bat theater in the college's studio production; he played Achilles and Paris in Troilus and Cressida (directed by Veit Schubert). During his studies he played the thief Waska Pepel in Nachtasyl (director: Peter Kleinert) at the Schaubühne am Lehniner Platz in the 2011/12 season and also at the Berliner Ensemble .

From 2012 to 2014 Klinger was a permanent member of the Berliner Ensemble. His roles were there a. a. the pupil Ernst Röbel in Spring Awakening (2012, directed by Claus Peymann ), Student / Faust in Faust . 1911 fragment by Georg Heym (2012; directed by Manfred Karge), Jack the Ripper in Lulu (2012/13 season; directed by Robert Wilson / Lou Reed ), Trauerweiden-Walter in Brecht / Weill's Die Dreigroschenoper (2013/14 season; director: Robert Wilson), Leonhard in Maria Magdalena (2013/14 season; director: Nicole Felden ), the fascist student leader Rosloh in Die Rassen by Ferdinand Bruckner (2013/14 season; director: Manfred Karge), Michael in Peter Pan (2013–2015; director: Robert Wilson) and Aufseher / Prügler in Der Prozess (2014/15 season; director: Claus Peymann).

In 2012 he was a guest at the Hans Otto Theater in Potsdam as servant Arlequin in Marivaux's The Game of Love and Chance (director: Jutta Hoffmann ). From October 2014 to March 2015 Klinger was seen at the Theater am Potsdamer Platz as Patschinsky in the musical Hinterm Horizont . In summer 2015, Klinger performed at the DomStufen Festival in Erfurt , where he played the role of the panther Baghira in The Jungle Book alongside Luka Dimic as Mogli . From September 2015 Klinger played again in the Udo Lindenberg musical Hinterm Horizont ; he was there cover for the title role Udo, as well as cover for the roles Steve and Patschinsky. In 2016 Klinger went to Hamburg with the musical Hinterm Horizont , where, in addition to his roles, he also took on the artistic direction of the production.

Klinger also took part in film roles, for example in the television film Der Mauerschützen (2010; in a supporting role as GDR refugee Thomas Strehlow). In April 2016 Klinger was also seen in a supporting role in the television film Lotta & der dicke Brocken ; he was Benja, a school friend and the first great love of the main female character Lotta ( Josefine Preuss ).

Klinger lives in Berlin .
