Andy Tennant (* 1955 in Chicago , Illinois ) is an American director and screenwriter .

biography

Andy Tennant grew up in Flossmoor , a suburb of Chicago . He studied theater under John Houseman at the University of Southern California . He also received training as a dancer, which gave him appearances in various films, including Grease and its sequel .

He then wrote the script for television films such as Moving Target and What She Doesn't Know , followed by his directorial debut in the television series The Wonder Years (1988), as well as other productions for Parker Lewis - The Cool One from School (1990). In 1995 he was able to celebrate his debut as a film director with the adaptation of "Doppelten Lottchen", Eins und Eins macht Vier , with Kirstie Alley , Steve Guttenberg and Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen .
