Anette Strohmeyer (born September 26, 1975 in Göttingen ) is a German author of thrillers , crime novels , fantasy novels and radio plays .

biography

Anette Strohmeyer graduated from high school in Northeim in 1995 . She studied geology / paleontology at the Georg-August-Universität Göttingen up to the 4th semester. She then completed an apprenticeship as a goldsmith, which she completed as a journeyman in 2001. She has lived in Copenhagen with her husband (geologist) since 2018 , after having lived in Düsseldorf for almost ten years .

Career as an author

At the beginning of 2012, her first novel Menschenhunger from the Ondragon - Mystery - Thriller series was published by Psychothriller GmbH . The sequel to the Dead Harvest appeared at the end of 2012 . Two more Ondragon novels followed: Nullpunkt (2014) and Seelenflut (2016) . All books in the Ondragon series that have appeared so far are available as e-books , paperbacks and audio books (read by David Nathan , produced by Audible Studios ). Volume 1 of the Ondragon series was also published as a hardcover in 2017. The fifth volume was published in spring 2019. At the same time, she is developing the second volume in her Tom Skagen series. The start of the crime series based in Scandinavia was published under the title Kalter Strand in March 2019 by Gmeiner-Verlag . Since 2014 she has also been working as a freelance writer a. a. for Bastei Lübbe , the Gmeiner-Verlag , Audible GmbH and the audio play labelsequencing of the Universal Music Group .

Collaborations with other authors

In cooperation with the author and radio play producer Ivar Leon Menger , crime and thriller author Raimon Weber , author Hendrik Buchna ( Die Drei ??? ), Simon X. Rost ( Die Playmos etc.) and John Beckmann (co-author Terminal 3 by Ivar Leon Menger) Anette Strohmeyer wrote the mystery series Porterville in 2013 . This was initially published as an e-book , and from the end of 2013 to 2014 also as an audio book series. Due to the success of Porterville , the author trio Menger / Strohmeyer / Weber decided to write another project in 2015: the horror / mystery radio play series Monster 1983 . For the production of the radio play series, some of the most famous German dubbing and radio play speakers were used.

In addition to her own projects, the author develops series materials and concepts together with other authors in the so-called Writers' Room. One result of this working concept is the thriller Cold Reset - Remembrance is fatal , written together with the authors Martin Conrath , Sabine Klewe , Ralf Pingel, and Markus Stromiedel , published in 2017 by Bastei Lübbe .

The author Anette Strohmeyer is a member of the Murderous Sisters , the association of German-speaking crime writers, and of the syndicate .

Anette Strohmeyer's sporting career

Her parents, who were both basketball players, brought Anette Strohmeyer to this sport as a child and from the age of 18 she played (under her maiden name Anette Pieper) in the 2nd women's basketball league north for the BG 74 Göttingen. Due to her size (180 cm) she mainly occupied the positions center and grand piano. After moving to Düsseldorf in 2009, she continued to play in the Ober- and Regionalliga West on Osterarther TV. She says of herself that competitive sport has taught her the discipline you need to write a book: "To be able to hold out from the first to the last word."
