Angelika Stephan
Angelika Stephan (* 28. November 1952 in Trebur as Angelika Engel ) is a former German long-distance runner .
Life
In 1979 and 1980 she won the first two editions of the Kassel City Run as a local hero . In 1980 it was German Vice Champion in cross-country running , arrived at the German Marathon Championships in 2:49:22 h in fourth place and won the Marathon of Neuf-Brisach in 2:47:11 hours.
The following year, she won the Berlin Marathon , which was held as a city run for the first time this year , in 2:47:24 hours.
At the World Cross Country Championships in Paris in 1980 , she finished 63rd.
Angelika Stephan started for the LG Kassel-Baunatal, the LAC Quelle Fürth and the PSV Grün-Weiß Kassel . She has been married to Jürgen Stephan, who was then middle-distance runner and today's trainer, since 1972 . At the turn of the year 2016/2017 she changed her starting right from the Asics Team Memmert to ART Düsseldorf .
