Anja Tepeš (born February 27, 1991 in Ljubljana ) is a former Slovenian ski jumper .

biography

The daughter of the well-known ski jumper and today's ski jumping official Miran Tepeš and sister of Jurij Tepeš , who also jumps, began ski jumping at the age of five. In 2003 she was appointed to the national team and began with some FIS jumping before she made her debut in the Ski Jumping Continental Cup on January 16, 2005 at the age of 14 . She immediately reached 16th place in Planica . At the Junior World Championships 2006 in Kranj , she jumped to 21st place. On January 14, 2007, she made it into the top ten for the first time in Villach . Three weeks later she achieved her best individual result so far with fourth place in Saalfelden . She finished the 2006/07 season in 16th place in the overall Continental Cup ranking.

At the Slovenian Ski Jumping Championships in 2009 , she reached 5th place in the individual. On March 17, 2013, Tepeš had a serious crash in Oslo .

After making her comeback in Sapporo in winter , she tore another cruciate ligament while training in Planica.

In September 2015, Tepeš announced the end of her career in active ski jumping after suffering various injuries in previous years.

At the moment she is responsible for the equipment control at the competitions of women in the Alpine Cup .
