Anja Zysk
Anja Zysk (* 1971 in Würselen ) is a right-wing extremist German politician who was chairwoman of the Hamburg regional association of the NPD from November 2005 to January 2007 .
On March 26, 2007, Zysk announced her exit from the NPD.
Political career
Anja Zysk, who comes from North Rhine-Westphalia , was the first state chairwoman of the NPD. Before she moved to Hamburg in 2004, she studied at the RWTH in Aachen economics and politics. In Hamburg she completed a degree in business school teacher (subject: politics), but was not accepted into the Hamburg school service. On November 27, 2005, she was elected as the successor of Ulrich Harder at a state party congress of the NPD by 83.3% of the delegates as the new state chairwoman. Before that, she had participated in events organized by the NPD and other right-wing extremist organizations in northern Germany since March 2005. In the 2005 Bundestag election , she took second place on the state list and was a direct candidate for Hamburg-Altona . In her role as state chairman she announced demonstrations of the party and spoke with extreme right-wing demonstrations of other organizers and gave lectures at party meetings. Under her leadership, the NPD in Hamburg doubled its membership. Prominent new members are the lawyer and multifunctional right-wing extremist Jürgen Rieger and the young Hamburg neo-Nazi Alexander Hohensee . Under Zysk's leadership, the relationship between the NPD and right-wing extremists not organized in the party, e.g. B. Christian Worch , significantly improved.
After a meeting of the state board of the Hamburg NPD on January 4, 2007 the entire board including Anja Zysk resigned. Tagesschau employee Patrick Gensing suspects a Zysk-supported campaign against a mosque building in Hamburg-Bergedorf as the background to the conflict . This met with criticism from within the party, probably because many a neo-Nazi from the spectrum of the “ autonomous nationalists ” dreams of a cross-front with radical Islamists. At the same time, Zysk complained that it was not the “democratically elected board members” who had the say, but that the events “were being increasingly controlled by forces outside the regional association”. This is aimed at increasing the influence of the NPD federal board member Thomas Wulff , who apparently wanted to use Rieger, who only joined the NPD in September 2006, as the new state chairman and top candidate in the 2008 state elections. In the meantime, at its meeting on January 3, 2007, the NPD federal executive initiated a party expulsion procedure against Zysk.
At the state party conference of the Hamburg NPD on February 25, 2007 Jürgen Rieger was elected as the new state chairman. On March 26, 2007, Anja Zysk resigned as district chairwoman of Hamburg-Harburg and left the NPD.
