Ann Ladiges

Ann Ladiges (born February 14, 1935 in Hamburg ; † January 21, 2019 there ) was a German television announcer , author and screenwriter .

Life

After graduating from high school, Ladiges studied German literature , literature and education and graduated with the state examination as a teacher for elementary , secondary and secondary schools . She then worked as a teacher for several years. In addition, she had been working as a freelancer for NDR television since 1964 and often announced the afternoon children's hour. In 1971 the ARD planned to use her as the first female newscaster on German television, but Wibke Bruhns came before her on ZDF .

In addition to her work as a presenter ( magazine of the week and ARD adviser : school / work) , Ladiges wrote several books for young people, of which the very well-known Hau ab, du bottle! often reading object in the classroom of middle school and in paperback by 2009 already 47 editions reached. She also wrote several scripts for films (e.g. Kaiserhofstrasse 12 in 1980) and television series (e.g. Enterprise Pensioner Commune in 1993).

Ladiges lived in Hamburg, where she also worked as a publishing editor . She died after a brief illness in January 2019 at the age of 83.
