Anna Berecz (born September 4, 1988 in Budapest ) is a Hungarian alpine ski racer. She participated several times in Alpine World Ski Championships and twice in Winter Olympic Games .

Career

In 2007 she took part in the Alpine World Ski Championships for the first time. At the 39th Alpine World Ski Championships in Are , she started in slalom and giant slalom . In both slalom and giant slalom, she missed the finals as 42nd and 53rd respectively. Two years later she started in the 40th Alpine World Ski Championships in Val-d'Isère in addition to the slalom and giant slalom in the Super-G . While she was eliminated in the slalom competition in the first round, she finished 39th in giant slalom and 34th in Super G.

She was nominated by the Magyar Olimpiai Bizottság for the 2010 Winter Olympics in Vancouver and was allowed to start there in all five possible disciplines. While she finished the Super G with no result, she finished the Alpine Combined with 27th place in the top 30. At the Alpine World Ski Championships 2011 in Garmisch-Partenkirchen , she also started in all five disciplines and was able to take 27th place in the Alpine Combination record their best result. Two years later she was unable to achieve good results at the 42nd Alpine World Ski Championships in Schladming .

The Magyar Olimpiai Bizottság also nominated her for the 2014 Winter Olympics in Sochi . There she was able to prove her best result at a major event in both the Super G and the Alpine Combined. She finished the Super-G competition in 28th place and in the Alpine Combined she took 21st place. As in Schladming, she was unable to  achieve good results at the 2015 Alpine Ski World Championships in Beaver Creek . After not contesting a single international FIS race in 2016, she again took part in races of the Fédération Internationale de Ski in 2017 .
