Anna Diop (born February 6, 1988 in Dakar , Senegal ) is a Senegalese -American actress .

life and career

Anna Diop was born in the capital of Senegal before moving to the United States with her parents at the age of six. They settled in the city of Houston . After spending a summer in New York at the age of 16 to give acting a chance, an acting agent there encouraged her to venture to Los Angeles , where she then moved with her mother. In 2006 she was first seen in an acting role in front of the camera after taking on a small role as Diedra in the sitcom Everyone hate Chris . Guest appearances in Lincoln Heights , Southland and Touch followed . In 2013 she played a small role in the thriller The Moment .

In 2015, Diop took on one of the lead roles as Rose Arvale in the short-lived series The Messengers . She also appeared in Quantico and Greenleaf before she was part of the cast of 24: Legacy from 2016 to 2017 as Nicole Carter . In 2016 she starred as Becca in the film Message from the King .

In 2018 Diop played the role of Desiree Zealy in the series Bosch and also took on a leading role as Kory Anders / Starfire in Titans . In 2019 she appeared in Jordan Peele's horror thriller We .
