Winkler made her debut in the World Cup in Davos in February 2013 , where she achieved 40th place in the sprint in classical technique. In February 2014 she started in Oberwiesenthal for the first time in the Alpencup ; she was tenth over 10 km classic and reached fifth place with the second German freestyle relay. In December 2014, she achieved her second top ten result in individual races in the Alpine Cup with tenth place in the Hochfilzen sprint . Winkler achieved her first podium finish in the series in January 2015 in Oberwiesenthal with second place also in the sprint. A week later she became German sprint champion there . In February 2015 she finished fifth in the sprint in Campra and fourth in the sprint in Rogla, two more places among the top five. In December 2015, Winkler won her first race in the Alpine Cup at the sprint in Hochfilzen. In the following month in Planica she scored her first World Cup points in her second World Cup appearance with 28th place in the sprint. At the German cross-country skiing championships in Oberwiesenthal in 2017 , she won the team sprint together with Katharina Hennig . In the 2017/18 season, she took seventh place in the overall ranking of the Alpine Cup with two wins. In March 2018 she was second in the team sprint and second in the relay at the German cross-country skiing championships in Reit im Winkl together with Katharina Hennig.
