Annerose Iber-Schade (born June 11, 1923 in Lüdenscheid as Annerose Schade ; † August 14, 2020 ) was a German entrepreneur .

Life

She initially studied industrial engineering at the Technical University of Munich , but broke off this course in the Second World War . After the end of the war she began studying economics in Bonn and graduated in 1947 with a degree in economics. In 1951, she was with a thesis on inflation and deflation doctorate .

As early as 1950 she started as a trainee in her father's company, the Wilhelm Schade metal goods factory founded in 1886 in Plettenberg in the Sauerland . After her father's death in 1954 she became the managing director of this automotive supplier . In 1980 she withdrew from the management of the company, but remained personally liable partner and member of the advisory board . In addition to the main plant in Plettenberg, two companies were founded in Selbecke and Herne under her leadership . The number of employees grew from 400 to around 1500, who achieved an annual turnover of around 110 million marks. In the mid-1990s, the company was sold to Dura Automotive Systems after restructuring .

Act

Annerose Iber-Schade was involved in the association of women entrepreneurs founded in 1954 (since 1991 the association of German women entrepreneurs ) and was its chairman from 1979 to 1989. She also campaigned for the rights of women in the workforce, for whom she introduced equal wages for equal work in her company, advocated permission to work night shifts and called for more women on works councils and committees.

From July 1980 to June 1988 Iber-Schade was a member of the Monopolies Commission . Federal Chancellor Helmut Schmidt appointed her as the first woman to be part of this advisory body to the federal government.

In 1988 she was awarded the Federal Cross of Merit 1st Class of the Order of Merit of the Federal Republic of Germany .

Together with her husband Norbert Iber, she founded the “A. and N. Iber Foundation ”, to support children and young people with foundation assets of around € 750,000.
