Annette Sabersky

Annette Sabersky (* 1964 ) is a German freelance specialist journalist and non-fiction author . Most of her publications are critical of the food industry and its products.

Life

Annette Sabersky attended the Willhöden grammar school in Hamburg-Blankenese , where she graduated from high school in 1983 . She then studied nutrition and household sciences with a degree in ecotrophology ( Dipl.oec.troph. ). This was followed by an internship at a specialist health magazine.

She was employed as an editor for the consumer magazine Öko-Test for five years . As a freelance author, she still works for this magazine today, but also for other magazines such as Biohandel , Greenpeace Magazin , `` ((eathealthy)), Testbild , Schrot & Korn Naturkostmagazin as well as for the book publishers Heyne and Südwest .

She is a member of the German Association of Journalists (DJV) .

In her books, Annette Sabersky takes a critical look at the food industry and its products and translates scientific findings into practical recommendations for consumers . Her best-known books include "Organic on it, organic in it. Recognizing real organic quality and avoiding organic traps" (Südwest 2006 and 2013), the bestseller The Big Nutrition Lies . Eating with Side Effects (2007), Hidden Fatteners. How The Food Industry Makes Us Addictive (2009), The Quality Lie. Shopping with Side Effects (2009), Real sausage has no face. How children can enjoy good food again (2014) and enjoy them with caution. Food with side effects , most of which she researched and wrote together with science journalist Jörg Zittlau .

In January 2013, Annette Sabersky founded the test blog www.Bio-Food-Tester.de. In it, she rates new and interesting organic food every week. She also tests all kinds of food and drinks for magazines; She reports on the results in lectures.
