Annette von Aretin

Annette von Aretin [ Aretin ] (*  23. May 1920 in Bamberg , †  1. March 2006 in Munich , actually Marie Elisabeth Adelhaid Cunegonde Felicitas Klein, born Baroness of Aretino ) was 1954, the first television announcer of the Bavarian Radio .

Life

She came from the Aretin family , an aristocratic family of Armenian descent from Bavaria. Annette von Aretin came as the eldest of three children of Freiherr Karl von Aretin (1884–1945) and his wife Elisabeth, née. Freiin von Gebsattel (1887–1968) to the world. Her two younger brothers are named Peter-Carl (1923–2002) and Erwein (1924–2008). She was a niece of the politician and writer Erwein Freiherr von Aretin and cousin of the politician Anton Freiherr von Aretin and the historian Karl Otmar Freiherr von Aretin . Her nickname , which friends used to address her into old age, was Putzi . In 1956 she married the doctor Harald Klein (1913–1983). The marriage produced a son and a daughter. The trained photographer began her career in 1947 as a freelancer at Radio Munich , the forerunner institution of Bavarian Broadcasting. The Munich director Kurt Wilhelm cast with her the role of Ännchens von Kalau in the radio show Fleckerlteppich , which was popular in the early 1950s . In 1959 she rose to head of the BR cast office.

She gained popularity from 1961 as a member of the advice team of the long-lived ARD series What am I? with Robert Lembke . The entire guessing team received the Golden Camera in 1967 .

As the successor to Carl Voscherau , she moderated the radio lottery advice program of the North German Broadcasting Corporation from 1963 until its end in 1969 .

In 1980 she retired, but continued to work for radio and TV productions and as a writer. Her film The English Garden , created for ZDF, received the Herwig Weber Prize in 1987 .

Her grave is located in the Munich North Cemetery .
