Annica Birgitta Teres Barsley (born March 3, 1983 in Björneborg as Annica Birgitta Teres Svensson) is a Swedish former football player who was most recently under contract with the Swedish first division club Eskilstuna United .
Career
With the U-17 team, she took part in the 2000 Nordic Cup , which she won by beating Germany 2-1 in the final . The following year she played for the U-19 team.
She made her national team debut nine years later at the age of 27 on July 13, 2010 in a 1-1 draw against the USA . The 2011 World Cup was their first major tournament. She was in the starting eleven in all three preliminary round matches and reached the quarterfinals with her team unbeaten, where they met the Australians . Here, too, Svensson was back in the starting line-up and with the 3-1 victory both the semi-finals against Japan and the qualification for the Olympic Games in London were reached . On July 16, 2011, she and the team won the game for third place in the 2-1 victory over France .
Svensson was also on the Swedish squad for the 2012 Olympics . She was used in two games and was eliminated in the quarterfinals.
In 2013 she made two substitutions at the Algarve Cup . She was not nominated for the EM in her home country after she lost her regular place at Tyresö FF . She then moved to Vittsjö GIK , where she played the last nine games of the season. In 2014 he switched to promoted Eskilstuna United . She was nominated for two World Cup qualifiers in 2014, but not used.
She ended her career in October 2018.
