Anselmo Pietrulla OFM (actually: Reinhard Jan Pietrulla ; born September 12, 1906 in Knurow ; † May 25, 1992 ) was a German religious and Roman Catholic bishop of Tubarão in Brazil.

Life

Pietrulla entered the Franciscan order and was ordained a priest on May 21, 1932 .

On December 13, 1947, Pope Pius XII appointed him . as prelate of Santarém and titular bishop of Conana . He received his episcopal ordination on February 8, 1948 by the Apostolic Nuncio in Brazil, Archbishop Carlo Chiarlo . Co- consecrators were Augusto Álvaro da Silva , Archbishop of São Salvador da Bahia , and Juvénico de Brito , Bishop of Garanhuns . Already on June 18, 1949 Pope Pius XII appointed him. first bishop of the newly established diocese of Campina Grande and on May 11, 1955 first bishop of the also newly established diocese of Tubarão .

During the Second Vatican Council , Pietrulla took part as a council father in all four sessions.

On September 17, 1981, Pope John Paul II accepted Pietrulla's application for resignation due to age.
