Ansor Adamowitsch Boltukayev ( Russian Анзор Адамович Болтукаев , English transcription Anzor Boltukayev ; born April 5, 1986 ) is a Russian wrestler of Chechen origin. In 2016 he became European champion in free style in the weight class up to 97 kg body weight.

Career

Ansor Boltukayev starts for a wrestling club in Grozny . He began wrestling as a teenager in 1997, focusing on free style. The coaches he mainly worked with are Schaa Umarow, Adam Boltukajew and Christiakis Alexandridis. At a height of 1.80 meters, he started first in the middleweight division and then in the light heavyweight division . He is a student and denies z. Currently he makes a living mainly from wrestling.

As a junior, he played the Junior World Championship in Guatemala City in 2006. He came there in the middleweight division after two wins and one defeat in 6th place. In 2008 he reached the Russian championship behind Schirwani Muradow and Chadschimurad Gazalow 3rd place in the light heavyweight division. For further starts at international championships he could not qualify because of the extremely strong competition in Russia.

In 2013 he managed to become the Russian light heavyweight champion before Abdusslam Gadissow, Batras Gassajew and Chadschimurad Gazalow. After this success he was used in September 2013 at the World Championships in Budapest in the same weight class. There he defeated William Harth from Germany, Taimuras Tigijew from Kazakhstan and Takeshi Yamaguchi from Japan. In the semifinals he lost to Chetag Gasjumow from Azerbaijan, but then secured a bronze medal with a victory over Alexei Krupniakow from Kyrgyzstan.

In 2014, Ansor Boltukayev finished 2nd in the Russian light heavyweight championship behind Abdussalam Gadissow.

In January 2016 he won the prestigious Ivan Yarigin Grand Prix in Krasnoyarsk. He relegated the two Americans Jakob Varner (2012 Olympic Champion) and Kyle Snyder (2015 World Champion) and his Russian compatriot Adlan Ibragimow to the next places in the weight class up to 97 kg . In March of this year, Ansor Boltukayev won his first international title at the European Championships in Riga in the same weight class with victories over Imants Lagodskis, Latvia, Radoslaw Baran, Poland, Elisbar Odikadze , Georgia, Valery Andrijzew , Ukraine and Ivan Jankowski from Belarus Championship. Then he was again Russian light heavyweight champion in front of such great wrestlers as Chadschimurad Gazalow, Evgeni Kolomiets and Wladislaw Baizajew.

Ansor Boltukajew also represented the Russian colors at the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro. He suffered a point defeat there against Valery Andrijzew in the first round. Since Andrijzew did not reach the final, Ansor Boltukayev was eliminated and only came in 11th place, which was disappointing for him.

In 2017 he started at the "Ivan Yarigin" Grand Prix in Krasnoyarsk in the heavyweight division, where he finished second behind Alan Lavrentjewitsch Chugajew. He then tried to defend his title at the European Championships in Novi Sad. There he defeated Murazi Michelidze from Ukraine, Alexander Huschtin from Belarus and Michail Ganew from Bulgaria, but lost in the final, weakened by a severely handicapped knee injury, against Riza Yildirim from Turkey on points.
