António Augusto de Oliveira Azevedo (born June 14, 1962 in São Pedro de Avioso , Portugal ) is a Portuguese clergyman and Roman Catholic bishop of Vila Real .

Life

António Augusto de Oliveira Azevedo received the sacrament of ordination for the diocese of Porto on July 13, 1986 .

On 9 January 2016 it appointed Pope Francis to the titular bishop of Cemerinianus and auxiliary bishop in Porto. He received episcopal consecration on March 19 of the same year by the Bishop of Porto , António Francisco dos Santos . Co- consecrators were António Augusto dos Santos Marto , Bishop of Leiria-Fátima , and António Maria Bessa Taipa , Titular Bishop of Tabbora and Auxiliary Bishop in Porto.

On May 11, 2019, Pope Francis appointed him Bishop of Vila Real. He was inducted into his new office on June 30th.
