Antonio Francisco dos Santos
António Francisco dos Santos (born August 29, 1948 in Tendais , Portugal ; † September 11, 2017 in Porto ) was a Portuguese clergyman and Roman Catholic bishop of Aveiro and Porto .
Life
António Francisco dos Santos received the sacrament of ordination for the diocese of Lamego on December 8, 1972 .
On 21 December 2004 appointed him Pope John Paul II. To the titular of Magnetum and auxiliary bishop in Braga . The Bishop of Lamego, Jacinto Tomás de Carvalho Botelho , donated him episcopal ordination on March 19, 2005 ; Co- consecrators were the Archbishop Emeritus of Braga, Eurico Dias Nogueira , and the Archbishop of Braga, Jorge Ferreira da Costa Ortiga . Pope Benedict XVI appointed him Bishop of Aveiro on September 21, 2006 .
Pope Francis appointed him Bishop of Porto on February 21, 2014 . The inauguration took place on April 5 of the same year.
