Jacinto Tomás de Carvalho Botelho (born September 11, 1935 in Prados de Cima, Rua parish , Moimenta da Beira district , Portugal ) is bishop emeritus of Lamego .

Life

Jacinto Tomás Botelho de Carvalho received the on August 15, 1958 ordination and was in the clergy of the diocese of Lamego incardinated . Pope John Paul II appointed him auxiliary bishop in Braga and titular bishop of Tacia Montana on October 31, 1995 .

The Archbishop of Braga , Eurico Dias Nogueira , consecrated him bishop on January 20th of the following year ; Co- consecrators were Américo do Couto Oliveira , Bishop of Lamego, and António Cardoso Cunha , Bishop Emeritus of Vila Real .

On January 20, 2000, he was appointed Bishop of Lamego. On November 19, 2011, Pope Benedict XVI. his resignation request submitted for reasons of age.
