Antônio Celso Queiroz

Antônio Celso de Queiroz (born November 24, 1933 in Pirassununga , São Paulo , Brazil ) is a Brazilian clergyman and former Roman Catholic bishop of Barretos .

Life

Antônio Celso de Queiroz was ordained a priest on April 17, 1960 .

Pope Paul VI appointed him on October 10, 1975 auxiliary bishop in São Paulo and titular bishop of Saetabis . The Archbishop of São Paulo, Paulo Evaristo Cardinal Arns OFM , donated him episcopal ordination on December 14 of the same year ; Co- consecrators were Valfredo Bernardo Tepe OFM, Bishop of Ilhéus , and Bernardo José Bueno Miele , Archbishop of Ribeirão Preto .

Pope John Paul II appointed him on February 9, 2000 as the first bishop of the diocese of Catanduva, established on the same date . On January 9, 2008, Pope Benedict XVI. his age-related resignation.
