Antoine Mayala ma Mpangu (born March 3, 1926 in Nselo , Zaire , † March 31, 1993 in Kisantu , Democratic Republic of the Congo ) was Bishop of Kisantu .

Life

Antoine Mayala ma Mpangu received the sacrament of priestly ordination on August 8, 1943 through the Vicar Apostolic of Kisantu, Alphonse Verwimp SJ .

On August 30, 1971, Pope Paul VI appointed him . the titular bishop of Flenucleta and ordered him to Coadjutor Bishop of Kisantu. The Apostolic Nuncio in Zaire, Archbishop Bruno Torpigliani , ordained him episcopal on November 21 of the same year in the Notre Dame de Sept Douleurs Cathedral in Kisantu ; Co- consecrators were the Bishop of Kisantu, Pierre Kimbondo , and the Bishop of Matadi , Simon N'Zita Wa Ne Malanda .

On April 27, 1973 Antoine Mayala ma Mpangu became Bishop of Kisantu, succeeding the resigned Pierre Kimbondo.
