Anton Beck (lawyer)

Anton Beck (born January 11, 1805 in Oberzüge ; † December 2, 1876 in Karlsruhe ; Catholic) was a lawyer in the Baden state service from 1829 to 1864 and also a member of the Baden Estates Assembly .

Anton Beck was the son of Andreas Beck (* 1776), Privy Councilor and Catholic Oberkirchenratsdirektor, and the Katharina nee Oswald. His first marriage was to Albertine nee Fischer. There were three children from this marriage: Berta (* 1840; † 1914), Albert and Mathilde. In his second marriage he was married to Maria Klara nee Ulrich from October 1855. From this marriage comes the son Anton Josef Beck (* January 27, 1857 - September 29, 1922), lawyer, Privy Higher Government Council and member of the Reichstag of the National Liberal Party from 1898 to 1914.

Life

Beck studied law at the University of Freiburg from the winter semester 1824/25 and, after graduating, became a legal trainee from November 1829 and then an actuary at the Bühl district office and from April 1831 at the Baden district office . From April 11, 1833 he was a trainee secretary at the court court of the Middle Rhine District in Rastatt and then from July 9 to December 24, 1834 administrative administrator at the Oberkirch district office . On April 30, 1835, Beck became an official assessor and second official at the Bretten district office and from January 14, 1839, he became an official and second official at the Rastatt district office . On May 29, 1841 he became a government assessor in the government of the Middle Rhine District in Rastatt and, from December 15, 1842, he was appointed senior administrator at the Rheinbischofsheim district office , and on June 7, 1844 at the Ettlingen district office . From September 8, 1849, he became a councilor in the government of the Middle Rhine District in Karlsruhe, where he was retired on July 15, 1864.

Political activity

In 1855/56 and 1857/58 he was a member of the Baden Estates Assembly during the 17th and 18th electoral periods for electoral district 23 (offices of Achern and Bühl )
