The factory for precision engineering - Anton Haring KG is a metal processing company with headquarters in Bubsheim in Tuttlingen district . The Heuberg location is a center for turned parts production . There are 200 companies in this branch within a radius of 20 km. In addition, the Häring Academy operates its own training center.

history

The company was founded by Anton Häring (October 3, 1940 - January 4, 2016) in 1961 in his parents' barn. The first factory building was built in 1964. A settlement near the company is popularly called St. Anton (derived from Anton Häring). Thanks to joint tendering and loan repayments by the payroll department, it was possible for the employees to build inexpensive, structurally identical properties. The so-called Häring settlement enabled employees to buy their own home or rent an apartment. Among other things, this led to the growth of the community on the Heuberg.

In 2003, due to a shortage of skilled workers and exhausted spatial resources at the Bubsheim location, a second location was opened in Piotrków Trybunalski , Poland . The number of employees in the main plant in Bubsheim was 360 at the time, 70 employees were initially planned for “Haering Polska” in a 10,000 m² plant. The Polish branch of the company ("Haering Polska") also produces turned parts , primarily for the automotive industry. In June 2004 the groundbreaking ceremony took place for the establishment of the Häring Academy as a separate training and further education center in Bubsheim. The company invested around 4 million euros in the construction of the representative building with around 3,300 m² of floor space. A dormitory for apprentices to accommodate the Polish and Chinese employees was completed shortly beforehand.

Today the company produces with a mirrored production at all locations worldwide: at the headquarters in Bubsheim on 23,000 m² production area, at the Polish location Piotrków Trybunalski (50,000 m² production area), at the Chinese location Taicang (19,000 m² production area) and at the American site Lavonia (15,000 m² production area ).

Since the death of the company's founder Anton Häring in January 2016, his son Jürgen, who was previously involved in the management, has been running the company.

criticism

The company was repeatedly criticized for lacking a works council . Attempts to assert the statutory right to employee representation have failed several times. When in December 2011 three employees of the Häring company invited to a works meeting on the occasion of the election of an electoral board, one of the organizers was given notice without notice, another withdrew his signature only a little later. Since, according to the Works Constitution Act, “a union represented in the company” is also able to call an election meeting, IG Metall Albstadt took the initiative. Union workers were expelled twice when submitting the invitation. The management justified this step with the fact that there was neither a valid invitation nor a notarized confirmation that employees of the Häring company were members of the union. The first authorized representative of IG Metall Albstadt , Walter Wadehn, spoke in this context of the end of a "free-democratic basic order at the gates" of the Häring company and continued to criticize the company's "flimsy" approach. The industrial union is now considering further legal steps to enforce a works council election.

The Heuberger Bote reported on December 17, 2013 in its print and online edition that the company's head of personnel and operations manager received a penalty of € 7,500 for repeated "obstruction of works council elections ", which was punishable under Section 119 of the Works Council Constitution Act .
