Anton Hochleitner

Anton Hochleitner (born December 5, 1927 in Oberreit near Vilshofen an der Donau ; † December 25, 2018 in Munich ) was a German politician ( SPD ).

Hochleitner attended the Pleinting elementary school , the Straubing secondary school and the Munich-Pasing teacher training college . At the end of the Second World War he was a volunteer and was held in American captivity in Linz . Then he attended the teacher training college in Straubing, took the 1st and 2nd teaching exams and completed the preparatory service in Pleinting, Uttigkofen , Galgweis and Vilshofen. From 1953 he worked as a teacher in Passau . He was state chairman of the working group of Bavarian young teachers and editor of the monthly magazine "Der Junglehrer".

In 1955 Hochleitner became a member of the SPD. He was elected to the city council of Passau and was deputy chairman of the district of Lower Bavaria / Upper Palatinate . From 1962 to 1982 he was a member of the Bavarian State Parliament .
