Anton Schütz (born June 28, 1930 in Lütter (Eichenzell) near Fulda , † January 27, 2012 in Fritzlar ) was a Roman Catholic clergyman.

Life

Anton Schütz entered the seminary in Fulda in 1951. On Passion Sunday , April 6, 1957 he received by Bishop Adolf Bolte in Fulda Cathedral , the ordination . After two years of chaplaincy in Neuhof (near Fulda) , he was appointed "Episcopal Secret Secretary" by Bishop Bolte in 1959.

As a full-time councilor, he took over the management of the newly created structure and planning department in the Fulda General Vicariate in 1970 . In the same year he was appointed deputy vicar general and given to him by Pope Paul VI. the title of "Papal Chaplain" ( Monsignor ) bestowed. In 1972 he was appointed cathedral capitular , and at the end of 1973 he was appointed chairman of the Diocesan Caritas Association in Fulda. In addition to his work in the Fulda diocese administration, Schütz was President of the Kolping Family of the city of Fulda and from 1961 to 1975 Diocesan President of the Kolping Society in the Diocese of Fulda .
