Anton von Jaksch
Anton Ritter von Jaksch , also Anton Ritter Jaksch von Wartenhorst (born April 10, 1810 Wartenberg am Rollberg , † September 2, 1887 at Lohowa Castle near Tuschkau ) was a Bohemian internist . He was the father of the internist and pediatrician Rudolf von Jaksch .
Life
After studying medicine in Prague and Vienna , Jaksch received his doctorate in 1835. med. In the following years he worked as an assistant in the 2nd medical clinic in Prague from 1835 to 1838. In addition, he completed his habilitation , which he completed in 1842. From 1842 to 1846 he was director and lecturer at the newly established breast disease department, whereupon he received a chair at the University of Prague . There he was rector of the university in 1849. For his work, Jaksch was appointed to the court council and was awarded the title of knight of the Austrian Order of the Iron Crown, 2nd class.
In 1841 Jaksch married Karolina Anna von Helly (1822-1859) in Prague. Anton Jaksch Ritter von Wartenhorst was Auguste von Bärndorf's second husband .
In 1861 Jaksch bought the Lazsko estate , the palace building there failed due to structural defects. In 1872 he acquired Lohowa Castle.
