Antonella Clerici (born December 6, 1963 in Legnano , Lombardy ) is an Italian television presenter and television journalist .

Life

She began her career at the local Milan broadcaster Telereporter , where she moderated children's and youth programs and worked as a sports correspondent for the Tagesschau. In 1986 she conducted her first program on the state television station RAI on Rai Tre , again with an entertainment and games program for young people . After a brief change to the private broadcaster Odeon TV , she returned to RAI and conducted a total of 300 broadcasts of a daily live sports program on Rai Due over the next two years.

From 1989 to 1995 she ran the popular sports program Dribbling on Rai Due and moderated its special editions on the occasion of the soccer world championships of 1990 in Italy and 1994 in the USA as well as the Summer Olympics of 1992 in Barcelona and 1996 in Atlanta. In parallel to her moderation in the sports area, Antonella Clerici also ran a talk show in the afternoon on Rai Due . In the 1996/1997 television season, she presented her last regular sports program on Rai Due with Domenica Sprint . Later, most recently on the occasion of the soccer world championships in France in 2008, she conducted several special programs on site.

From September 1997 to May 1999 Antonella Clerici moderated the morning show Uno Mattina on Rai Uno . At the end of 1999 she moved briefly to private competitor Mediaset , but returned in 2000 to the state broadcaster RAI. There she took over the popular lunch program La prova del cuoco on Rai Uno , which she hosted for seven years. At the same time, she also performed various evening entertainment and quiz programs on Rai Uno , with which she achieved great audiences.

She experienced a temporary high point of her professional career in March 2005, when she presented the 55th edition of the Sanremo Festival together with Paolo Bonolis . This was followed by other prime-time entertainment and quiz programs on Rai Uno, including the successful Saturday evening shows Il treno dei desideri and Ti lascio una canzone .

With the sole moderation of the 60th edition of the Sanremo Festival , Antonella Clerici reached her professional peak in February 2010. The programs broadcast live on Rai Uno on five evenings earned her high recognition. With an average of around 11 million viewers every day and a peak of 15.195 million viewers during the final broadcast, the edition she moderated is one of the most watched editions of the past ten years.
