Career

After his time in the youth of the SS Nola , Bocchetti moved to the youth department of the SSC Naples . From this he was transferred to the professional department in 1999. In order to get match practice he was awarded to FC Crotone and Lecco Calcio for half a year , but was only used irregularly. Nevertheless, he was able to assert himself at Naples for the next three years and earn a regular position. He graduated among other things, his first Serie A season review in 2000/01 and after relegation two seasons in Serie B . He ran a total of 69 league games for the Azzurri before moving to Serie A relegated FC Piacenza in 2003. There he established himself immediately in the starting line-up and ran three seasons for Lupi . The next step in his career followed in 2006: he moved to the first division club FC Parma and played 18 games for Parma in his second Serie A season and was also featured in the UEFA Cup .

However, this chapter was over after only one season and he joined Frosinone Calcio , for which he was under contract for four years. After three and a half years with Frosinonen and half a season on loan with the US Sassuolo Calcio , he moved to Delfino Pescara 1936 in the summer of 2011 . With Pescara he was able to rise again to Serie A when they won the second division championship in the 2011/12 season . After his third Serie A season and another season in Serie B, Bocchetti moved again at the age of 34 to Paganese Calcio in the newly founded Lega Pro , the third division of Italy.

Bocchetti completed a total of 5 games for the U-20 and U-21 selection of Italy .
