Antonio Troyo Calderon

Antonio Troyo Calderón (born October 18, 1923 in Cartago ; † December 1, 2015 ) was a Costa Rican Roman Catholic clergyman and auxiliary bishop in San José de Costa Rica .

Life

Antonio Troyo Calderón was ordained a priest for the Archdiocese of San José de Costa Rica on November 30, 1947 .

Pope John Paul II appointed him auxiliary bishop in San José de Costa Rica and titular bishop of Burca on August 27, 1979 . The Archbishop of San José de Costa Rica, Román Arrieta Villalobos , donated him episcopal ordination on September 21 of the same year ; Co- consecrators were Ignacio Nazareno Trejos Picado , Bishop of San Isidro de El General , and José Rafael Barquero Arce , Auxiliary Bishop in Alajuela .

On July 13, 2002, Pope John Paul II accepted his age-related resignation.
