Eir Aoi
Eir Aoi ( Japanese 藍 井 エ イ ル , Aoi Eiru ; born November 30, 1988 ) is a Japanese singer-songwriter from Sapporo , Hokkaidō , currently under contract with SME Japan . Her stage name is derived from Eir , the Germanic goddess of healing, as she originally intended to become a nurse.
biography
Aoi sang in a band she founded while she was in high school . After leaving school, she continued to devote herself to music and then released her debut single Memoria in 2011 , which was used as the closing title for the anime series Fate / Zero , which appeared in the same year .
The following year her second single, Aurora , was released, which was featured in the anime series Mobile Suit Gundam AGE as the opening credits. A little later, in the same year, their third single Innocence was on the market. This was also used as the theme song for an anime publication, namely the light novel adaptation of Sword Art Online, which was broadcast in the same year .
Her first album Blau was released in early 2013 , which is also the meaning of her surname.
Her other singles were also used as theme songs in anime productions. These include Sirius for KILL la KILL and Niji no Oto for Sword Art Online: Extra Edition of their second album Aube , Ignite in Sword Art Online II and finally Lapis Lazuli tarnished for the 2015 film version of the Fantasy - Manga series The Heroic Legend of Arslan .
Her third album D'Azur was released in June 2015 .
