Apetzko was possibly related to Otto von Tymenk, who was named captain of Saarmund Castle in 1373 . Apetzko Deyn von Frankenstein , Bishop of Lebus from 1345 to 1352, had the same first name .

Apetzko was first mentioned in 1371 as Magister Artium and Canon in Lebus. In 1375 he was named provost of Berlin, and again in 1379. He appeared as a witness in several documents from Margrave Sigismund von Brandenburg , which indicates a proximity to his office. He was mentioned for the last time in 1381.

In 1375 Apetzko owned together with a Heinrich von Buden most of the villages Miersdorf , Schmöckwitz and Zeuthen in the Teltowischen Kreis and the Bede and Wagendienste in Hönow im Barnim, according to the Landbuch der Mark Brandenburg .
