The Apostolic Vicariate Makokou ( Latin Vicariatus apostolicus Makokouensis ) is in Gabon located Roman Catholic Apostolic Vicariate with headquarters in Makokou . It includes the province of Ogooué-Ivindo .

history

Pope John Paul II founded the Apostolic Prefecture Makokou with the Apostolic Constitution Omnium de fidelium on March 7, 2003 from cession of territory by the Diocese of Oyem . The local ordinary Joseph Koerber has been CSSp since it was founded . On July 11, 2014, Francis elevated the prefecture to vicariate.
