The Apostolic Vicariate of Vientiane ( lat. : Apostolicus Vicariatus Vientianensis ) is an in Laos situated Roman Catholic Apostolic Vicariate with headquarters in Vientiane .

history

The Apostolic Vicariate Vientiane was founded on June 14, 1938 by Pope Pius XI. established from the cession of territory by the Apostolic Prefecture Laos as Apostolic Prefecture Vientiane e Luang-Prabang . On March 13, 1952, the Apostolic Prefecture Vientiane e Luang-Prabang by Pope Pius XII. raised to the Apostolic Vicariate with the Apostolic Constitution Est in Sanctae Sedis and renamed the Apostolic Vicariate Vientiane . The Apostolic Vicariate Vientiane gave on March 1, 1963 parts of its territory to establish the Apostolic Vicariate Luang Prabang .
