Arciso Artesiani
Arciso Artesiani (born January 22, 1922 in Marzabotto ; † March 16, 2005 ) was an Italian motorcycle racing and automobile driver .
Career
Arciso Artesiani started between 1949 and 1951 in the 500 cm³ class of the motorcycle world championship . He made his debut on Gilera with second place behind Leslie Graham at the Swiss Grand Prix in 1949. In the three other races of the season in which he competed, the Italian drove on the podium, which gave him third place in the overall standings behind Graham and his Compatriot Nello Pagani brought in.
In 1950 and 1951 , Artesiani competed in a total of three half-liter Grand Prix for MV Agusta and took two third places. In 1951, he also won the 500 cm class of the prestigious road race Milano – Taranto in an MV Agusta 500 Quattro R19 .
With his brother Medardo, Arciso Artesiani founded a motorcycle dealership in 1949 that still exists today. Artesiani died of a heart attack on March 16, 2005 .
