Arjun Rampal
Arjun Rampal ( Hindi : अर्जुन रामपाल , Arjun Rāmpāl , born November 26, 1972 ) is an Indian actor and model .
Life
He was discovered in a disco by the fashion designer Rohit Bal and then worked as a model for a few years before starring in his first film: Moksha , which was only released after Arjun had already made two other films, among them Pyaar Ishq Aur Mohabbat alongside Sunil Shetty . His film Jadh , in which Arjun played alongside Smriti Mishra and directed by Shantanu Sheorey , has not yet been released. In 2002 he won the Prize of the International Indian Film Academy as "Personality of the Year" .
He took part in the Temptation 2004 concert with Shahrukh Khan , Saif Ali Khan , Preity Zinta , Rani Mukherjee and Priyanka Chopra , which was a great success worldwide. One of his most famous roles in German-speaking countries is his lead in the film Dil Ka Rishta with Aishwarya Rai , which was also released in Germany.
Rampal is married to the model Mehr Jessia and has two daughters, Mahikaa (* 2002) and Myra (* 2005). He wears the names of his daughters as tattoos on his forearms.
In 2010 he was recognized for his role in Rock On !!! honored with the National Award for Best Supporting Actor.
In addition to his career as an actor, Arjun Rampal has also been a co-owner of the exclusive LAP club in Delhi since 2009, where he regularly DJs himself. The club was closed in March 2016.
