Armin Jans (born November 8, 1965 in Stuttgart ) is a German evangelical theologian , composer, musician, author and head of the Christian guest houses in Monbachtal near Bad Liebenzell .

Live and act

Jans grew up in Ludwigsburg . After graduating from high school, in 1985 he began studying at the theological seminar of the Liebenzeller Mission and from 1990 to 1999 was a youth officer in the EC youth association of the South German Community Association (SV / EC). From 1999 to 2011 he was the head of public relations at the Liebenzeller Mission and trained as a PR consultant while working. In 2012 he took over the management of the Christian guest houses in Monbachtal , where he works as a house assistant. As a lecturer at the School for Christian Naturopathy, he trains the subjects of "spiritual life" and "pastoral care".

During his time as a youth advisor and children's missionary, he worked as a songwriter. With his musician friends Ingmar Löffler and Benjamin Nagy and a selection choir of the EC-Kinderfreizeiten under the direction of Heike Büttel, he produced the CD Hazardous Mission and the benefit CD Where in the world is there something like that in 1999 ? , which contains songs from nine countries and supports an AIDS orphan project in Africa. He is a member of the Missionsberggemeinde in Bad Liebenzell and can be heard there at sermons in church services. As a guitarist, he led the worship combo of the monthly evening services initiated by Hanspeter Wolfsberger for many years .

In 2009 Jans was nominated for the advancement award of the Missionary Services Working Group with the missionary project Cross Wins . He is a co-initiator of men's action events and a member of Christival e. V. and a popular speaker and publisher at many conferences and church services and speaker at leisure time . Since 2003 he has been one of the main responsible employees of the working group of the community holiday festival "Spring", founded in 1996, and in 2018 replaced the founding chairman Hartmut Steeb .

Jans was elected to the municipal council of Bad Liebenzell as a candidate for the CDU in the 2014 local elections. From 2014 to 2019 he was First Deputy Mayor and a member of the Administrative and Finance Committee. After his re-election in 2019, he became the second deputy mayor and a member of the school, cultural and social committee as well as the administrative and finance committee.

Private

Armin Jans is married to Annette. The couple has three children and lives in Bad Liebenzell.
