Views and opinions
Steeb is the author and co-author of the statements of the German Evangelical Alliance on the questions of the evangelical movement and the mandate of the German Evangelical Alliance represented by him, such as For example, in 1998 “What is it, what is important?”, And in 2009 “We are a pro-movement” on questions of the protection of life, family policy and the relationship to Islam. In 2006 he criticized a greeting from Chancellor Angela Merkel on the occasion of the Christopher Street Day (CSD) in Stuttgart . Steeb spoke of an ideological movement behind the CSD. He is also of the opinion that conservative Christians are often denigrated by the lesbian and gay movement across the board and undifferentiated as "homo-haters, Nazis, fascists" and described Merkel's greeting as active support of " homosexuality and lesbianism ", which trusts in politics is weak and not good for the future of the country.
In the weekly magazine Der Spiegel , Steeb was described as “the best example” of the fact that the worldview of “right-wing conservative AfD politicians” and “ Christian fundamentalists ” were in perfect harmony. Steeb gave an interview for the new right-wing weekly magazine Junge Freiheit and his positions on content showed overlaps with Pegida and the AfD.
