Arne Gottschling

Arne Gottschling (born April 7, 1985 in Münster ) is a German actor .

Life

Gottschling studied drama at the Mozarteum in Salzburg from 2006 to 2010 (diploma 2010), including 1 semester at the Ernst Busch Academy of Dramatic Arts in Berlin .

During his studies he played in productions at the Theater im Central in Salzburg and gained his first film experience in short films, TV and cinema productions. He played his first leading role in the film Suicide Club , which was awarded the Interfilm Prize at the Max Ophüls Preis 2010 film festival and then screened at several national and international festivals (including the Dubai International Festival and MOSTRA-Sao-Paulo International Film Festival).

After graduating from drama school, he became a permanent member of the ensemble at the Volkstheater Wien and made his debut as Menuchim in Job under the direction of Michael Sturminger . Other roles followed in Mr. Puntila and his servant Matti , Monsieur Ibrahim and the flowers of the Koran (solo piece), Illegal , Punk Rock , The Threepenny Opera and Hotel Savoy .

In 2010 Arne Gottschling was nominated for the Karl Skraup Prize as the best young actor of the 2009/2010 season , and in 2011 he was awarded the Dorothea Neff Prize for the best young actor of the 2010/2011 season.
