Arnold of Lasaulx

Arnold Constantin Peter Franz von Lasaulx (born July 18, 1839 in Kastellaun , † January 25, 1886 in Bonn ) was a mineralogist and geologist.

Life

Arnold von Lasaulx initially devoted himself to mining practice. From 1861 he studied geology at the Rheinische Friedrich-Wilhelms-Universität . In 1862 he was reciprocated in the Corps Saxonia Bonn (xxx, x, x, x). As an inactive he moved to the Friedrich-Wilhelms-Universität zu Berlin . In 1865 he was promoted to Dr. phil. PhD. In 1869 he completed his habilitation in Bonn. In 1875 he went to the Schlesische Friedrich-Wilhelms-Universität in Breslau as associate professor . In 1880 he was appointed to the chair at the Christian Albrechts University in Kiel . In the same year he moved to Bonn, where he died at the age of 46.
