Arnstedt (noble family)

Arnstedt is the name of a noble noble family from the county of Mansfeld with the parent company of the same name.

history

The family is first mentioned in a document with Waltherus de Arnstede in 1145. The line of trunks begins with Johannes von Arnstedt on Demker 1335 and 1337.

In 1788 the Brandenburg estates of Schloss Löwenberg and Schloss Hoppenrade came from the von Bredow family to the von Arnstedt family, who married von Arnstedt through the scandalous Charlotte von Kraut , described by Theodor Fontane as the herb's daughter in his book Five Castles .

The coat of arms shows three red roses lying obliquely to the left in a shield divided by silver and black . On the helmet with black and silver covers, an open flight , as indicated on the shield .
