Christian Heinrich Wilhelm von Arnstedt

Christian Heinrich Wilhelm von Arnstedt (born December 6, 1713 on Klingen, † March 14, 1785 in Potsdam ) was a Prussian colonel and commander of the Cuirassier Regiment No. 2 and court marshal of Crown Prince Friedrich Wilhelm . He was also the master of Großwerther, Lenz and Faulenbenz.

Life

origin

His parents were of Hesse-kasselsche Lt. Col. William Christian of Arnstedt (* December 29, 1665; † August 28, 1726) and his wife Gertraud, born of Uder (* May 15, 1683; † February 19, 1755) from the Black TPF. The chamber director Karl Adrian von Arnstedt (1717–1800) was his brother.

Military career

From 1726 Arnstedt visited the cadet house in Berlin and in 1730 came to the cuirassier regiment No. 2 as a standard junker . In 1737 he became a cornet . In the First Silesian War Arnstedt fought in the Battle of Chotusitz and became a lieutenant in 1741. In the Second Silesian War he took part in the battles at Hohenfriedberg and Soor . In 1745 he became a staff cavalry master and a year later cavalry master . In 1747 he received the order Pour le Mérite . In 1755 he was promoted to major . In the Seven Years' War he fought near Lobositz , Kolin , Breslau , Zorndorf , Liegnitz , Torgau and Reichenbach, where he was wounded in Zorndorf. At that time he was appointed regimental commander in 1760 and promoted to lieutenant colonel. In 1761 he received the Mildenitz fief in Pomerania as a gift from the king.

After the war, Arnstedt received his departure in 1768 and a pension of 700 thalers. But then he was appointed chief steward of the Prince of Prussia. He stayed there until his death. Colonel Ernst Ludwig von Pfuhl became his successor.

family

Arnstedt married Albertine Henriette Karoline von Geuder called Rabensteiner (1725–1803) in 1746. She was the only daughter of Hofmarschall Freiherr Johann Georg von Geuder called Rabensteiner († March 26, 1746). The couple had several children:

  • Amalie Charlotte Wilhelmine (* 1748; † 19 July 1800) ∞ Karl Ludwig von Goetzen (1733–1789)
