Artolz is a village and a cadastral municipality in the municipality of Pfaffenschlag near Waidhofen adThaya in the Waidhofen an der Thaya district in Lower Austria .

Settlement development

At the turn of the year 1979/1980 there were a total of 44 building areas with 19,139 m² and 39 gardens on 14,579 m² in the cadastral municipality of Artolz , in 1989/1990 there were 45 building areas. In 1999/2000 the number of building areas had grown to 98 and in 2009/2010 there were 46 buildings on 92 building areas.

Land use

The cadastral community is characterized by agriculture. At the turn of the year 1979/1980, 248 hectares were used for agriculture and 129 hectares were forest areas. In 1999/2000 agriculture was carried out on 206 hectares and 170 hectares were designated as areas used for forestry. At the end of 2018, 198 hectares were used as agricultural land and forestry was carried out on 174 hectares. Artolz's average soil climate number is 20.6 (as of 2010).
