Großeberharts is a place (spelling Groß-Eberharts ) and a cadastral municipality of the municipality Pfaffenschlag near Waidhofen adThaya in the district Waidhofen an der Thaya in Lower Austria .

Großeberharts is located east of Pfaffenschlag. The place is on the Sarningbach, east of the town center, the Birkenberg rises 557 m.

On January 1, 1971, the formerly independent communities of Großeberharts and Kleingöpfritz were merged with Pfaffenschlag.

The cadastral community used to include the village of Dimling , which was later incorporated into Waidhofen an der Thaya and was also separated from the cadastral community of Großeberharts.

Settlement development

At the turn of the year 1979/1980 there were a total of 85 building areas with 39,241 m² and 95 gardens on 36,443 m² in the cadastral community of Großeberharts , in 1989/1990 there were 59 building areas. In 1999/2000 the number of building areas had grown to 136 and in 2009/2010 there were 54 buildings on 136 building areas.

Land use

The cadastral community is characterized by agriculture. 388 hectares were used for agriculture at the turn of the year 1979/1980 and 58 hectares were forest areas. In 1999/2000 agriculture was carried out on 320 hectares and 64 hectares were designated as areas used for forestry. At the end of 2018, 317 hectares were used as agricultural land and forestry was carried out on 64 hectares. The average soil climate of Großeberharts is 26.9 (as of 2010).
